Talking about carbon with Tayport Primary

By 29th June 2018March 8th, 2020One Comment

We had a great spring of talking about carbon and climate with pupils from Tayport Primary School. Each Primary session at the Tayport Community Garden included a 15 minute activity covering topics ranging from carbon cycle, through carbon footprints and fossil fuels, to renewable energy. We tried to squeeze in plants wherever we could as they are so important in the carbon and climate story.

Some of our favourite sessions were with P1 who helped us illustrate a couple of energy stories – we made one of them, a tale of Hamish the energy seed farmer, into a wee movie (see above – materials used/adapted with permission from The NEED Project, www.need.org).

We are looking forward to our autumn sessions!

In the meantime, you may want to check out our kids Earth Explorers club running over summer here.
