In season, we hold a weekly produce stall at the Tayport Community Garden gate. Our produce is grown according to organic principles and has zero food miles. In the Autumn we also have Tayport Apple Juice and preserves for sale. Income from the sales is reinvested into the Garden and related PLANT projects.

COVID-19 and ‘click-and-collect’ ordering system – August 2020

Due to COVID-19 we are not running our usual stall at the Tayport harbour, and instead we are experimenting with a ‘click-and-collect system at the Garden gate. Please note that there is no car access to the Garden, located at the end of Pond Lane.

Below are instructions on how it works at the moment – this may change as we adjust things based on your feedback.

Please read our recent update on social distancing before coming to the Garden.

What type of orders are available?

You can either order individual veg from our weekly list (PDF) or a mixed veg box.

We do 2 box sizes:

  • 1-2 people for £10
  • 2-4 people for £20

Veg boxes help us reduce any wasted produce from the weekly harvest so it is the most planet-friendly way to shop. You can specify anything you don’t like or want and we will leave it out/substitute for other items.

How do I find out what’s available each week?

Updated veg list will be available every Wednesday on PLANT Facebook page and at the Garden gate. You can also email Ali at volunteer@tayportgarden.org.

How do I place an order?

Online: You can order by directly messaging PLANT Facebook page or emailing Ali at volunteer@tayportgarden.org. Please use this order form (WORD).

In person: You can also swing by the garden to pick up a veg list and order form which are attached to the main gate.  All completed paper order forms can be returned to the collection box which is situated on the main entrance gate.

Please remember to let us know a contact number for you so that we can message you when your order is ready to collect.

All orders must be returned by Saturday evening so that we have time to process them on the Sunday morning.  We will try and respond within 24 hours for orders received online but keep in mind that we are only at the Garden on Sundays, Wednesdays and Sundays and may not be able to check produce availability outside of these times.

How do I collect my order?

You will be able to collect your order from Tayport Community Garden between 1-3pm on a Sunday. Please wait for a message to let you know that it is ready for collection (including the cost) to avoid anyone waiting around and ensure social distancing.

Please don’t forget to bring your own bags to help us reduce the disposable packaging!

How can I pay?

You will pay on pick up. We take both cash and card using a contactless system.
