Ferryport Fruit Fest

By 18th September 2016March 8th, 2020No Comments

Come to the Ferryport Fruitfest on Saturday 15th October for an entertaining day for all the family. As usual, we will be setting up our stalls in the Burgh Chambers Garden and the Gregory Hall. The activities begin at 11:00 am and will continue until 4:00 pm.

Bring along apples from your garden and convert them into lovely fresh juice using PLANT’s brand new apple press (give them a good wash beforehand).

You can also donate your spare apples. We are happy to come and pick them – just call Will on 01382 552839 to arrange a convenient time.

Do you have an orchard in your garden with 5 or more trees? Make sure that it is included in the National Orchard Inventory for Scotland – simply fill in the online form here. PLANT is taking part in this project and we are surveying Tayport orchards this Autumn. The results will help us develop more exciting activities to support orchard owners and take advantage of the local fruit in the future. They will also help with traditional orchard revival at a national scale. You can read more about the project here.Event poster
