Join us for an online screening of ‘Inhabit’ and explore how permaculture thinking can help us move from destruction to regeneration.

Recently, we have been exploring permaculture design ideas for better food production systems with a workshop on Food Forest in Your Backyard and plans for a Food Forest at the Community Garden. ‘Inhabit’ movie shows how permaculture uses the principles found in ecosystems to help shift our impact from destructive to regenerative with an intimate look at examples of permaculture peoples and practices ranging from rural, suburban, and urban landscapes. It is relevant to everyone from backyard gardeners, to those growing food at a larger scale or working to build resilient communities.

We hope that the movie will provide an interesting prompt for another discussion about what a more planet-friendly, resilient world could look like for us and provide inspiration for action on climate emergency and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.

From 6pm to 7:30 pm we will watch the documentary together through Facebook Watch Party, which will be followed by a 15 minute comfort break. From 7:45pm – 8:45 pm we will move over to Zoom to discuss its relevance and the potential Power of Community for our communities here at home.

Links to both the Facebook watch party (alternative will be provided for those not on FB) and the Zoom discussion meeting will be sent to all who register shortly before the event.
