Show your love with us this February

‘Beautiful things are possible, we can protect the world we love from climate change.’

Throughout February the Community Garden will be part of the Climate Coalition’s ‘Show the Love’ campaign and we will have a range of events taking place including asking all our visitors and volunteers to be part of the green hearts Valentine Day event. The Climate Coalition is the UK’s largest group working together for action on climate change and involves around 15 million people.

In the run up to Valentine’s Day we hope to decorate the polytunnel with individual green hearts which detail what’s important to you and what you want to protect. We will also be running a number of events during our regular Sunday sessions, starting with the mobile photo editing workshop on the 5th of February, followed by a small orchard wassail and a climate change conversation. For more information about the Show the Love campaign check out fortheloveof.org.uk. I’ve never been to a wassail but seemingly it involves singing to the fruit trees to promote a good harvest for the coming year!

You can find the Garden location, access details and open session times here. Keep an eye on our Facebook or Events page for more details of the upcoming events.
