Our Community Garden is entering its peak productivity right now and we will have lots of produce for sale over the next couple of months.

Our sales at the Garden Family Fun Day the other week and at the Ferryport Gala last weekend proved to be very popular, and we are delighted to announce that we can continue supplying you with some lovely, fresh, local produce more regularly, starting this Wednesday, 17th of August.

Pop around the Garden anytime after 1pm tomorrow and we will be able to harvest your order while you wait! List of currently available produce and prices are shown in the photo below. (please note there is no car access via Pond Lane)

Lettuce and salad leaves are looking particularly lovely this week and so are our sweetpeas. Much more will be coming on over the next month, including our polytunnel lovelies – tomatoes and sweetcorn. Yum! And you can count on an occasional appearance from Margaret’s eggs and rhubarb, and Courtney’s fabulous home-made bread made with Scottish flour.

We will continue these harvest-on-demand Garden gate sales over the next month during Open Gardening Sessions on Sundays and Wednesdays. It would help if you could bring your own containers and bags for the produce.

We will also have a ‘proper’ stand at the next two car boot sales.

It is a perfect chance to try some very local and seasonal fruit and veg, cut that pesky carbon foodprint and put some funds towards our Tayport Community Garden.
