What’s On in May

Tayport Beach Clean, 12th May, 11 -12 am, Foodmek carpark

We are planning another short beach clean in Tayport for an hour on Saturday 12 May. If you fancy joining us we are meeting opposite Foodmek at 11am. We have pickers, bags and gloves available.

BeeWalk Survey, 13th May, 1 -2 pm, Tayport Community Garden

We have joined Bumblebee Conservation’s BeeWalk project this year and we will be surveying bumblebees in and around the Garden every month.

Kaska will be leading an informal BeeWalk survey this Sunday. Join her to learn a little about bumblebees and help with spotting and identification. We will meet at the Garden and then walk for about a 1 km along the burn and the Coffin Walk.

The walk will be cancelled if it rains.

Family Spring Fair, 27th of May, 1-4 pm, Tayport Community Garden

Our Family Spring Fair will be taking place on Sunday 27th of May, 1 to 4pm at the Community Garden. There will be lots of fun activities for the whole family including face painting, crafts, garden games, a raffle, and music.

We will also have mini-workshops on cooking with herbs, football skills and planting hanging baskets. In our Carbon Conversation corner you will be able to find out more about your carbon footprint and get home energy advice from St Andrews Environmental Network. And of course there will be the usual home baking, plants, vegetable seedlings, and produce for sale. It will be lovely to see you there!

If you would like to help by setting up or running activities on the day please get in touch with Jenny (volunteer at tayportgarden.org). We would also welcome donations of home baking.
